We found out that at least one parent(from CCMeadows) has a scheduled 3 minutes spot to speak before the school board. When all the 3min speakers are finished, it will be the 1 min speaker's turn. Troy F. and Michelle B.McN. will need to come early to make sure to file for their 1 min to speak based on first come firs...t serve rules. This is Troy F. I will be there early to sign up to speak for 1 minute. 1 minute is a short period of time. 1 fact that I found out for sure is that this was proposed by the transportation director. The cancellation of the bus routes is not approved yet. In my 1 minute, I plan to address the fact that Sec 42.115 of the transportation allotment allows the board to request from the commisioner an increase of 10% of the allotment of funds to provide transportation of student who do live within a 2 mile radius of the school. There are several examples given and 2 examples are if a student has to cross a bridge or if there is no walkway provided. The bridge on Stonebridge has uneven concrete and the guard rail is only 27 inches high. he pipeline utility they must cross on Fredericksburg has no sidewalks. It is up to the board to ask for this increase in funds.
